AI Contract Overview
The City of Redlands is seeking qualified vendors to provide repair and maintenance services for a variety of landscape equipment used by its Parks Division, including riding and walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, edgers, aerators, and other small engine-powered tools. The contract is structured as a one-year purchase order with an estimated annual value of $17,000, though this amount is not guaranteed and actual work quantities may vary. Vendors must be prepared to perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, engine and hydraulic repairs, blade sharpening and replacement, belt and tire substitutions, and other necessary services using OEM or equivalent quality parts. Timeliness is critical, with expectations for same-day repairs in some cases and the ability to respond to emergency service requests. Communication regarding repair status is required, and service must be delivered efficiently to minimize equipment downtime. The City will award the contract to the vendor offering the best overall value, evaluated based on competitive hourly labor rates, turnaround time, and the ability to meet service demands reliably. Equipment from major brands such as Toro, Scag, Kabota, Stihl, Echo, and Honda will require service. Vendors must submit responsive quotes by the deadline of July 23, 2026, and the solicitation number is FCS07162026JB. All work will be performed in California, and inquiries should be directed to Jocelynn Butters at the Facilities & Community Services Department. Bidders are advised that quoted quantities are approximate for comparison purposes only, and the City reserves the right to adjust volume without liability.
