Laveton Avenue Storm Sewer Extension

The Brentwood Stormwater Authority is soliciting bids for the Laveton Avenue Storm Sewer Extension project located within the 200 block of Laveton Avenue in the Borough of Brentwood, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The scope of work involves the installation of approximately 295 linear feet of 16-inch diameter HDPE pipe for a public gravity storm sewer, two 8-inch HDPE wye connections for private laterals, and two 10 square foot pre-cast concrete catch basins. Additionally, the contractor must restore approximately 285 square feet of driveway apron with 6-inch thick concrete and 265 square feet of asphalt road surface. All work must comply with PennDOT Publication 408 and Publication 72 standards, as well as various ASTM specifications. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, qualified, responsible bidder who can demonstrate experience installing underground utility lines for public entities and is qualified to conduct business in Pennsylvania. Substantial completion of the work is required by August 31, 2025, with final completion and payment readiness by December 31, 2026. The selected contractor must provide a performance bond, labor and materials payment bond, and comprehensive insurance coverage, including public liability, property damage, and worker's compensation. Compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry prevailing wage regulations and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission's non-discrimination clauses is mandatory. Bidders must submit a bid bond, a non-collusion affidavit, and a public works employment verification form as part of their proposal. Payment will be processed via monthly applications for payment submitted to the project engineer.
