Lawndale ES Main Bldg - Boiler#2 Tube and Ignitor Replacement - Open to contracted pre-qualified pool for VARIOUS TRADES ONLY

Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids for the Boiler 2 re-tube and igniter replacement at Lawndale Elementary School, located at 3500 W. Douglas Blvd. The scope of work includes removing and replacing a non-functioning igniter and the entire set of boiler tubes. All work must be performed during normal working hours and coordinated with Board representatives. The project requires adherence to the City of Chicago Building Code, ASME BPVC, and ASME CSD-1 standards. Contractors must provide a factory-authorized service representative for inspections and performance testing, and any pressure vessel repair work must be completed by firms certified by Hartford and the National Board. Eligible bidders must be specialized in steam and hot water boiler renovation with at least five years of experience and a track record of successfully completing at least three projects of similar scope. Bids must be submitted electronically via EUNA/Bonfire by November 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM Chicago Time. Mandatory submission requirements include a signed and dated bid cover sheet and applicable warranty information. Depending on the bid price, additional requirements apply: a 5% bid bond and union signatory status are required for bids of $25,000 or more, payment and performance bond premiums must be included for bids of $50,000 or more, and MBE/WBE documentation is mandatory for bids of $75,000 or more.
