Lee Lake Wells Project

The Lee Lake Wells Project is a construction initiative led by the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District located in Lake Elsinore, Riverside County, California. The project scope involves the construction of two wells reaching depths of up to 140 feet with a capacity of 400 gpm each, along with the installation of a 600-gpm centralized granular activated carbon filtration system. Additionally, the project includes the construction of a disinfection facility, an infiltration pond, and a booster pump station. The work is situated on Temescal Canyon Road, east of Interstate 15, within Assessor's Parcel No. 393-130-001. The project was approved on September 29, 2025, by the State Water Resources Control Board's Division of Drinking Water. Under the California Environmental Quality Act, a Negative Declaration was prepared, determining that the project will not have a significant environmental effect within its jurisdiction, and therefore no mitigation measures or monitoring plans are required. Administrative oversight is managed by the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, with Parag Kalaria serving as the primary Water Resources Manager and lead agency contact.
