Dry Beans Supply – Black, Pinto, Kidney, and Other VarietiesThe contract is for the supply of bulk dry legumes including black beans, pinto beans, kidney beans, black-eyed peas, lentils, and navy beans to support institutional food service operations. It is a subcontract under a Total Small Business Set-Aside designation, meaning only small businesses as defined by the SBA are eligible to bid, ensuring opportunities for smaller enterprises within the federal procurement system. Performance of the contract is centered in Leavenworth, Kansas, with the facility identified as FCI Leavenworth under the Department of Justice, indicating the beans will be used to feed inmates or staff within the federal correctional institution. The procurement is set to be solicited starting June 29, 2026, and while specific quantities, delivery schedules, and pricing terms are not detailed here, the requirement implies consistent, large-scale delivery capabilities necessary to sustain institutional feeding operations. The contract is structured for long-term reliability, with the expectation that the vendor will meet quality, safety, and packaging standards appropriate for federal food service. All participants must comply with federal procurement regulations and be capable of handling logistics for bulk shipments in a timely and efficient manner. The opportunity is accessible only through the SAM.gov platform, where complete solicitation documents and submission instructions will be available.
