The DOH BPHL has the need to purchase service and maintenance for state-owned instruments including the KingFisher Flex 24, ProFlex 3x32 PCR, ProFlex 96 PCR (2), SEQstudio genetic analyzer, Quant Studio DX (2), VariosKan Lux, and KingFisher Flex (2). These instruments are used for nucleic acid extraction, sequencing, real-time PCR, and quantification as critical components in biosurveillance molecular testing processes. These processes allow the Department to monitor the presence and evolution of bacteria and viruses that pose a threat to the health of Floridians.In accordance with Chapter 60A-1.045, Florida Administrative Code, the DOH BPHL requests authorization to purchase as a single source maintenance and technical support of the state-owned 7500FAST DX analytical instruments from Life Technologies.
