Lifespan Respite National Technical Assistance and Resource Center

The Administration for Community Living intends to fund a single four-year cooperative agreement to establish a Lifespan Respite National Technical Assistance and Resource Center aimed at building sustainable, integrated, and high-quality respite care services for family caregivers across all age groups. The initiative aligns with the Lifespan Respite Care Act and seeks to advance a national framework for measuring program outcomes, promoting research through data collection and synthesis, and ensuring the widespread availability of evidence-based resources. The center will provide critical technical support to existing Lifespan Respite grantees and partners, strengthening their capacity to deliver effective services and improve access to respite care nationwide. Applicants must demonstrate a strong foundation in the principles of the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers and are expected to integrate its recommendations into their proposed activities. The center will serve as a national hub for knowledge sharing, innovation, and capacity-building, with a focus on scalability, equity, and long-term system improvement. All proposals must reflect a commitment to advancing caregiver support through coordinated, data-driven, and inclusive approaches.
