AI Contract Overview
The City of Everett is seeking a qualified contractor to perform critical upgrades at Lift Station No. 1 and the Water Pollution Control Facility, centered on the replacement of key infrastructure components within the wastewater system. For Project A, the work involves extensive underground construction along a 30-inch ductile iron force main, including temporary erosion controls, trenching, shoring, dewatering, and backfilling to support the installation of a new plug valve, precast vault with cast-in-place footings, and a line stop fitting. This requires bypass pumping from Backup Lift Station 1B to maintain service during the work, concrete installation to support line stopping equipment, removal of a section of the existing force main, and final surface restoration. Project B focuses on the chlorine contact channel isolation valve vault, where the existing 48-inch butterfly valve, stem, and operator pedestal must be demolished and removed, the flange cut from the concrete cylinder pipe, and a new 48-inch butterfly valve with flange coupling adapter and pipe support installed. The contractor must also temporarily remove and reinstall the vault cover to facilitate this work, all while maintaining strict adherence to safety and environmental standards. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for either May 6 at 2:00 PM or May 13 at 11:00 AM at 4027 4th Street SE, Everett, WA 98201, and all proposals must be submitted by the deadline of May 19, 2026, to be considered for award.
