Locking Band

The locking band is a one-piece band constructed of 304 stainless steel with a thickness of .022 inches, designed for quick, tool-free installation on electric meters. It features an integrated thumb screw with a flathead slot for manual tightening or loosening, and both the thumb screw and its receiver are permanently affixed to the ring to prevent loss of parts and enable one-handed operation. The band opens and closes by engaging the thumb screw into its receiver and can be secured with or without a barrel lock for added flexibility. A standardized slot is incorporated to accept a common seal, and the design allows side-entry installation from either side of the meter. The optional barrel lock includes a keyless insertion system, is compatible with Nashville Electric Service’s current keying standard, and features a weather seal to guard against dirt and debris.
