Reason that this is a sole source procurement (i.e., proposed contractor's unique qualifications, etc.): The existing equipment is several years old and a maintenance agreement is necessary to prevent a work stoppage. The equipment should be serviced by the manufacturing company in order to ensure there is no degradation of service. Agreement shall include training, maintenance, parts, labor, emergency repair (24 hour response time) and services. Pitney Bowes guarantees product performance as long as we continually maintain coverage with Pitney Bowes equipment maintenance agreement / software agreement after warranty. If equipment cannot be repaired to a satisfactory operating condition within a reasonable time, Pitney Bowes shall provide a loaner at no additional cost. Replacement equipment will be provided within 24 hours. 4. Technical requirements personnel certification I hereby certify that this justification is made in good faith, that the supporting data and information are accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief, and that I would not be making this request if it were feasible to fully complete this requirement.
