Maintenance Agreement

This is a Notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons Medical Center (FMC), Butner, North Carolina intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Varian Medical System, Marietta, GA. To the best of our knowledge Varian Medical Systems is the only provider for the Eclipse and Aria Software support. A written notice will not be issued. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, as no solicitation document is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give a written or fax notification to the Contracting Officer in fifteen calendar days from the date of this published synopsis. This contract will be from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, LSCI Butner, and Attn: Lenitra Elliott, P. O. Box 999, Butner, North Carolina 27509 or information can be faxed to (919) 575-5036. Response received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, FMC Butner will proceed with the sole source negotiated with Varian Medical Systems.
