Full Description

This purchase is for a maintenance and support contract renewal on our existing SPIRENT GSS8000 GPS Simulator located in the EE section here at USCG Academy. This simulator is a 500K piece of equipment that is currently being used by faculty, staff and cadets to accurately model GPS signals and run experiments. This system is also used by operational USCG units, including C3CEN to troubleshoot and model GPS signals. This vendor/company is being awarded this service based off sole source justification (see FAR 6.302-1(b)(2)).
