The Marine Corps Installations West Regional Contracting Office plans to award a sole source purchase order to Pitney Bowes, Inc. around January 5, 2015, for a one-year service plan covering Pitney Bowes mailing machines. The government currently owns the postage machine and mailing/envelope printer machine, which do not require replacement, and leases the proprietary Pitney Bowes meter head attachment, which only Pitney Bowes is authorized to service. Due to Pitney Bowes being the only available provider capable of fulfilling the full requirement by the specified date, the contracting officer has determined a sole source award is appropriate under FAR 13.501(a)(1). The contract falls under NAICS code 811212 with a size standard of $27.5 million and is intended to maintain continuity in servicing the existing Pitney Bowes machines. Although this notice is not a solicitation for proposals or quotes, other responsible sources may submit technical capability statements within ten calendar days of the notice’s publication for consideration in future procurements. The contract will be managed by the Department of Defense at the Marine Corps base in Camp Pendleton, California, with performance taking place in Oceanside, California. The designated points of contact for this acquisition are Contract Specialists Tiffany Nelson and Christopher Lopez.
