Full Description

The John D. Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Advanced Sterilization Products System. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of a maintenance contract for the Sterad 100S, model 00-10100-6-001 Sterilizer. The maintenance contract shall consist of planned maintenance labor and parts, corrective maintenance labor and parts, extended full service hours (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), product configuration report, database report, product certification and up-time guarantee. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)and(B), only one responsible source. This is not a request for quotes. No solicitation documents will be issued. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later than May 16, 2003 at 4:00 P.M. local time. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
