The scope includes standard 8x5 support and a Software Maintenance Agreement, ensuring ongoing functionality of both software and associated hardware components over the period from October 1, 2008, through September 30, 2009. The acquisition will proceed without full and open competition, though other firms may submit written evidence of their capability by August 22, 2008, for government consideration. Nevertheless, the government retains sole discretion to continue with the sole source negotiation if no viable alternatives are found. The contract will be awarded according to commercial item acquisition procedures under FAR Part 12. The contract falls under NAICS code 811213 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million in annual revenue.
