Maintenance/Service on Illumina Equipment

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) intends to negotiate with and award on a sole source basis a purchase order for Preventive Maintenance for the Illumina equipment for a 12 month service/maintenance agreement which includes; Beadstation, Genome Analyzer and Cluster Station with Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA. This Acquisition will be processes under FAR Part 13. The period of Performance is January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. These instruments provide specialized functions to analyze sequences and genotypes. This service contract will provide continuous service in ensure minimal down time. NIA initially purchased these instruments for Illumina Inc., therefore it is impartive that coverage be continued to Illumina to avoid warranty being discontinued. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations however, the Government will consider responses submitted on or before 1:PM E.T. January 6, 2011 to Alberta Galek, contact@example.gov. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if it can meet the above specifications described herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
