Mariposa County Roadside Vegetation Treatment Project

The Mariposa County Roadside Vegetation Treatment Project is a forecast initiative managed by Mariposa County in California. The project focuses on implementing critical wildfire vegetation management along county-maintained roadways to reduce the risk of wildfire ignition and spread. Key objectives include improving safe evacuation routes and ensuring efficient ingress and egress for fire responders, while simultaneously educating the community on the necessity of roadside vegetation maintenance. The treatment process will employ a variety of specialized equipment, including dump and bucket trucks, compact track loaders, skid steers, masticators, saws, and blowers.
