Masonry Services

The King County Directors' Association (KCDA) is soliciting bids for Masonry Services under Invitation for Bids #26-258, with submissions due by June 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. PST via the Public Purchase portal only. This contract, with an estimated annual value of $3 million to $5 million, seeks qualified contractors to provide masonry equipment, materials, and related services including tuckpointing, brickwork, CMU installation, stone veneer, mortar joint sealing, expansion joint replacement, lintel installation, masonry cleaning, and equipment rental such as scaffolding, boom lifts, forklifts, masonry saws, dust control systems, and debris hauling. All work must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, the Clean Air Act, and other federal labor and environmental statutes, requiring payment of prevailing wages, weekly certified payrolls, and adherence to safety and health standards. Contractors must hold a valid Washington state contractor's license, provide 100% performance and payment bonds for contracts exceeding $150,000, and maintain current insurance coverage with KCDA and its members named as additional insureds. Bidders must submit pricing through Attachment D, an Excel workbook, with all costs including a 2% administrative fee embedded invisibly to members, and must quote prices F.O.B. the delivery point including unloading. The contract is structured as an annual agreement with potential one-year renewals up to three times, and KCDA may issue orders at any time during the term without binding commitments based on bid quantities. All goods must be new, unused, and of current production, subject to a 15-day performance evaluation by the end user; failures trigger remedies including repair, replacement, or cancellation at no cost to the member. Invoices must be submitted separately, contain full detail including purchase order numbers and sales tax, and are paid net 30 days after acceptance of delivery or invoice receipt, whichever is later. KCDA pays vendors after receiving payment from the member, deducting a 2% service fee and any retainage.
