This project involves the reconstruction of the existing boat launch ramp at Matheson Island, Manitoba, approximately 240 km north of Winnipeg, with access via MB 8 and PR 234, including ferry or winter ice road. The work includes demolition and removal of existing launch ramp infrastructure and construction of a new launch ramp system comprised of pre cast concrete pads installed on a prepared granular base. The work includes, but is not limited to: • Demolition and removal of approximately twenty (20) existing pre cast concrete launch ramp pads, including disposal at approved facilities; • Excavation, grading, and preparation of the launch ramp footprint; • Supply and installation of granular sub base and base materials; • Supply and installation of geotextile material; • Supply and installation of fifty seven (57) new pre cast concrete launch ramp pads, including alignment, spacing, levelling, interconnection, and joint infill; • Supply and placement of rip rap material; • Implementation of environmental protection, sediment control, and spill prevention measures; • Quality control, inspections, site restoration, and project close out activities. The Contractor is responsible for all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, permits, insurance, health and safety, environmental compliance, and coordination with the Departmental Representative required to complete the work.
