The Engineering Consultant shall provide design, bidding, permitting, and construction phase services for the relocation of a natural gas meter-regulator and associated piping. The project work is located within the facility equipment yard. Description of Natural Gas System Serving Sub-District 2 (SD-2) The natural gas distribution system consists of two (2) gate stations, four (4) regulator stations, five (5) rectifiers, 47 miles of mains, 500 services lines, and approximately 900 valves. Natural gas is received at two (2) primary locations on property from Florida Gas Transmission Company (FGT Pipeline). The CEP /"Theme Park" Gate Station is located in the N.E. Corner of the CEP compound in the North Service Area (NSA). The Lake Buena Vista (LBV) Gate Station (also referred to as the Residential station) is located off Buena Vista Drive, behind and North of Wyndham Place Hotel (adjacent to Well "C"). Meter/regulator stations are located at each customer to regulate the pressure and flow of gas to satisfy the requirements of WDW owned gas consuming equipment. The design and construction of the CFTOD gas distribution system is based upon the Minimum Federal Safety Standard (MFSS), Parts 191, 192, and 199 Pipeline Safety Regulations Drug and Alcohol Testing as promulgated by the United States Department of Transportation and Chapter 24-12 FAC (Florida Administration Code). The jurisdictional boundary between the ‘CFTOD District High Pressure (HPG) and Medium Pressure (MPG) Natural Gas Piping New Construction Standards’ and the CFTOD's EPCOT Gas Code is defined as the first piping joint downstream of the CFTOD UTILITIES DEPARTMENT operated regulator station where pressure is reduced to 5 psig or less for introduction into a customer’s building or a customer’s low pressure distribution system. The selected consultant will be expected to generate preliminary engineering, construction plans and specifications for the execution of the Administration Laundry Facility – Meter/Regulator Relocation that meets or exceeds the requirements of all CFTOD/CFTOD Utilities Department Standards, and Standard Drawing Templates for the Construction. The plans shall be industry standard scale with required plans, elevations and details generated as required. The plans shall depict all known utilities and other conflicts in the vicinity of the proposed work. Location of these features shall be determined via review of existing utility drawings and site survey, as necessary. The designs shall generally adhere to the CFTOD/CFTOD Utilities Department Utility Specifications and Construction Standards for materials, means, methods, standard details, testing and other requirements. These Standards shall be the boilerplate for the technical specifications, but the selected consultant will be expected to tailor these documents to the specific project requirements and add or delete sections as required. All formatting shall be in accordance with CFTOD Utilities Department current standard. Standard details shall be treated likewise. Safety, Access, and Maintenance of Traffic requirements shall meet or exceed those of CFTOD, and CFTOD Utilities Department. The following tasks will be performed as part of the work:• Task 200 Construction Documents• Task 600 Stakeholder Outreach: Stakeholder Meeting/Presentation Development/Town Hall Meetings• Task 700 Bidding Assistance• Task 800 Construction Administration Services
