Microsoft Premier & Server 2003 SP2 Custom Support Essentials

Subject to final approval, The Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS), on behalf of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTBH) in Washington, DC, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to Microsoft Corporation, 5450 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD 20817 ro the Microsoft premier Support & Server 2003 SP2 Custom Support Essentials. TTB has a need for the Microsoft Premier Support Service and Microsoft Server 2003 SP2 Custom Support Essentials in order to receive critical security updates for vulnerabilities from Microsoft. In order to receive the critical security updates TTB must add on the Microsoft Server 2003 SP2 Custom Support Essentials and Microsoft Premier Support Services. Microsoft Premier Support Service and Custom Support Essentials are Microsoft's sole sourced business. Microsoft does not subcontract any aspect of this service due to the customer is given access to product engineers as well as the product group developers and this access is not granted to anyone outside the Microsoft or the Government Agency. No other company performs Premier services on Microsoft's behalf. The resellers are only authorized to sell the product to the government but are not granted access to perform the required work. The Bureau of the Fiscal Service will consider all affirmative responses received no later than Friday, July 31,2015 at 12:00 PM ET. Responses to this request can be emailed to purchasing@fiscal.treasury.gov - Attention: M.G./S.B. Affirmative responses shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show how it would be advantageous to the Government to switch providers for this requirement. A request for information will not be considered an affirmative response. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all the requirements and that is more advantageous to the Government, we intend to negotiate a sole source award to the Microsoft Corporation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
