Full Description

Pursuant to FAR 5.201(b)(1)(ii)(iii), the USDA Agricultural Research Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Truetandem, LLC for a six (6) month Firm Fixed Price contract extension of services, , for the USDA/ARS/OCIO Microsoft Premier Information Technology Support Services at the George Washington Carver Center in Beltsville, MD. The Premier Support is a software subscription reactive support service. The contractor is required to provide the following technical support: Support Account Management (TAM), Support Assistance, Problem Resolution Support and Designated Support Eng-SharePoint services in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW), effective August 13, 2015 through February 12, 2016. The government is in the process of redefining its' requirement. To that end, it is vital to the integrity of USDA/ARS Information Technology systems that the incumbent continue to provide IT support. This six (6) month bridge contract is necessary to allow for sufficient time to complete all re-competition procedures for the follow on contract. No other offeror could immediately perform all of the required services within the necessary timeframe. The period of performance of six (6) months is sufficient timeframe in which to transition to a new contractor. Therefore, Truetandem is uniquely qualified as the incumbent contractor to provide continuity of services to ARS/OCIO. No solicitation will be issued.
