Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake area in South Carolina and Georgia.Project Description: The purpose of this project is to repair damaged roadways, parking lots, and pavement markings within the J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake Area. This project consists of the repair of pavement surfacing by milling and overlaying asphalt at eight locations. The project includes approximately 17 miles of roadway and approximately 70 parking lots of varying sizes for a total of 250,000 sq yds of mill and overlay work. The project consists of a base and two option CLINS. The base includes Modoc Campground, Parksville Day Use area, Petersburg Campground, Below Dam, Georgia and Winfield Campground.
