U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Omaha District awarded a Purchase Order to Martin Marietta Materials, Inc., 2710 Wycliff Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607 under FAR Subpart 13.5 procedures per 41 U.S. Code - 1901. Martin Marietta is the only known source that can provide the required riprap at a fair and reasonable price. There are no additional known riprap sources within the boundaries of the Missouri River where the government needs the riprap and where the government barges can travel without being cost prohibitive. The work required for this requirement is to supply, deliver, and load approximately 21,000 tons of quarried riprap onto government barges to operate and maintain approved structures of the Missouri Riverbank Stabilization Navigation between river mile 498 near Rulo, NE, and river mile 753 near Ponca, NE. Per FAR 5.207(16)(i), all responsible sources were given the opportunity to request additional information, including the solicitaiton under the synopsis (W9128F21Q0086), and submit a quotation that the agency shall consider. The govenrment did not receive a request for additional information or the solicitation. The government will post the Justification & Approval (J&A) document separately to SAM.gov.
