Mobile Hoist

The Corporation of the City of North Bay has issued Request for Quotations RFQ 2026-062 for the procurement of one set of four new, non-demonstrator mobile column vehicle hoists. These hoists must feature wireless connectivity and be compatible with various vehicle configurations, including transit buses and commercial trucks. The equipment must include specific safety features such as auto-leveling for raising and lowering, microprocessor-controlled movement, and an automatic mechanical lock system. The successful respondent will be responsible for the supply and delivery of the equipment to the City’s Public Works Yard at 1399 Franklin Street, North Bay, with delivery expected before the end of 2026. All quoted rates must be in Canadian funds and all-inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, travel, insurance, installation, set-up, and pre-delivery inspection charges, with HST added to the final price. Submissions must be made exclusively through the City's electronic bidding system by the deadline of October 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The evaluation process consists of three sequential stages: a review of mandatory submission requirements, a technical evaluation of mandatory requirements, and a final pricing score. Respondents are required to provide a submission form, pricing via the specified appendix, product brochures, and evidence of experience through at least three similar contracts completed within the last five years. The award will be granted to the top-ranked respondent based on price evaluation, with a coin toss serving as the tie-breaker. All communications regarding this solicitation must be conducted through the Bidding System, and respondents should note that information may be subject to disclosure under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
