Modification to Increase Contract Ceiling

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC PACIFIC) intends toaward a sole source cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification to increase thecontract ceiling by $82,000,000 on N66001-07-D-0029, awarded to ScienceApplications International Corporation (SAIC). Authority for other than fulland open competition is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only oneresponsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agencyrequirements. This contract provides for the In Service Engineering Agent(ISEA), Networks Integration Engineering Facility (NIEF), and installationsupport services for Non-Integrated Shipboard, Shore, Air, Submarine, andForeign Military Sales installations of various communications systems. Theanticipated period of performance will NOT be extended. The current contractwill expire 07 August 2012. The total labor hour increase for the contractmodification is 542,000 hours. The applicable North American IndustryClassification Systems (NAICS Code) is 541330. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, allinquiries received within 15 days after date of publication of this marketsurvey will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Governmentnot to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within thediscretion of the Government. Information received will normally be consideredsolely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitiveprocurement. Any resulting procurement would be conducted in accordance withFAR Part 15.
