AI Contract Overview

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center, intends to award a sole source contract to Qualisys North America, Inc. for the purchase of four Oqus 5+ cameras. These cameras must feature IP67 water resistant housing for use in marine and outdoor environments, such as flumes and wave basins, and include permanent calibration technology along with all necessary mounting devices, cabling, power supplies, and licensing. The requirement for a sole source award is based on the need for full interoperability with an existing Qualisys motion capture system, as the specific hardware and software requirements exclude other manufacturers. The procurement falls under NAICS code 333316. While the government intended to proceed with a sole source acquisition, interested parties were invited to submit capability statements to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the requirements. To be eligible for any government contract award, vendors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management and complete all necessary FAR and DFARS representations and certifications.
