UPDATE: This solicitation will allow for a period of questions/answers prior to award. All final questions must be submitted no later than 12:00PM EDT, Friday, May 29, 2026 to Shamai Carter - shamai.m.carter.civ@health.mil.
This solicitation is a total small business set‑aside. All awards will be made exclusively to small business concerns as defined in 19.000(a)(3). The associated NAICS code is 484210. Offerors must be registered in Systems for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov per FAR 52.212.1. All offers must also have a Unique Entity Identification Number at (SAM) at www.sam.gov and be able to submit invoices through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Lack of registration in SAM will qualify contractor as ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this solicitation which shall be considered. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a firm fixed type contract based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror.
NMRC's Biological Defense Research Directorate requires a professional moving and transportation service to securely remove, load, and transport designated scientific laboratory equipment. The following are required to meet the needs of this service:
- Safe removal, securing, and transport of Five (5) Large Freezers.
- Safe removal, securing, and transport of Three (3) Incubators.
- Safe removal, securing, and transport of One (1) Large Sequencer (PacBio).
Requirements:
- Vendor must provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, and transportation equipment.
- Vendor must have the ability to safely disconnect (if required) and remove the large PacBio sequencer from its laboratory location.
- Equipment must be adequately secured, padded, and strapped within the transport vehicle to prevent damage.
- Vendor must have capability to transport the equipment from the origin to the destination location.
