Chesterfield County is soliciting bids for an on-call requirements contract with firm pricing for moving and storage services to support various County departments and public schools. The scope of work involves the packing, relocation, and assembly/disassembly of furniture, electronics, and library equipment, with a primary concentration of activity occurring between June and August for school repairs and upgrades. The contractor must provide both regular and climate-controlled storage capabilities and ensure that the lead project manager passes a Criminal Justice Information Services background check. All personnel are required to wear company uniforms or photo identification while on site. Award will be granted to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the grand total of the pricing schedule, which includes hourly rates for supervisors, laborers, installers, and vehicles, as well as square footage rates for short-term and long-term storage. Bidders must provide a definitive timeframe in calendar days for starting a project after receipt of order, with the County preferring a seven-day turnaround.
