This contract covers a diverse fleet of passenger vehicles, SUVs, trucks, and specialty units, providing services for accident-related damage and collision repairs on an as-needed basis. Selected vendors must operate from a fixed location with heated ground-level floor space and possess specialized equipment, including 3-D measuring tools, hydraulic pulling equipment, and EPA-compliant paint systems. All repairs must adhere to vehicle manufacturer standards using new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) components, as aftermarket or used parts are prohibited. Vendors are also responsible for the pick-up and delivery of vehicles, including providing towing or flatbed transportation for inoperable units. Award decisions are based on multiple factors, including price, expertise, availability, and the comprehensive details provided in the Qualification Questionnaire. Vendors must certify compliance with Rhode Island licensing regulations and DEM auto body repair standards, with all completed work guaranteed for a minimum of one year. A critical requirement for those servicing Rhode Island State Police vehicles is the commitment to expedite repairs ahead of non-police vehicles. Administratively, all ordering and billing are conducted directly between the vendor and the user agency, and no work may begin without a valid, agency-approved purchase order. The state reserves the right to conduct on-site inspections of vendor facilities to verify technical capabilities and safety compliance.
