AI Contract Overview
The contract seeks to procure the Multisizer 4e Coulter Counter, a sophisticated instrument designed to provide enhanced functionality and analytical capabilities for measuring cell size, counts, and distribution using the Coulter method across multiple clinical research protocols. This device utilizes patented digital pulse processing technology to deliver precise particle sizing within a 0.2 to 1,600 micrometer range and includes features such as automatic aperture blockage detection and clearing, fluid level monitoring, and barcode scanning for samples and consumables. It supports flexible operation with selectable stirrer speed and direction, multiple aperture tube sizes, and a broad measurement range with high linearity and dynamic accuracy. The instrument offers comprehensive data output including particle count, size, volume distribution, and detailed pulse distribution statistics with up to 400 size classes and the capability to reprocess data without re-running samples. It supports various counting modes and real-time volume change detection facilitated by its proprietary high-speed digital pulse processor. The package includes necessary accessories such as multiple aperture tubes, sample beakers, cleaning and diluent solutions, and calibration standards, along with installation services. The contract is issued by the National Institutes of Health located in Bethesda, Maryland, with a response deadline in early June 2026, and does not involve any set-aside provisions.
