The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, plans to modify an existing firm-fixed-price, supply-type contract (N00164-10-D-JN09) with FN Manufacturing, LLC to include an additional contract line item for converting MK46 MOD0 weapons into MK46 MOD1 variants. This modification does not alter the total contract ceiling, which remains at $11.5 million. Shipping is to be FOB destination, with delivery dates agreed upon during negotiations, and inspection and acceptance to occur at the point of origin. The contract will be awarded on a sole-source basis, justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) due to FN Manufacturing’s proprietary rights and the prohibitive duplicate costs associated with using alternative suppliers. This opportunity is available exclusively to the current contractor, FN Manufacturing, and is posted for informational purposes on both the Federal Business Opportunities and Navy Electronic Commerce Online websites. The procurement falls under NAICS code 332992, with the contracting office located at NSWC Crane in Indiana. The designated government point of contact is Mr. Matthew S. Summers, reachable by phone, fax, or email, with correspondence directed to the NSWC Crane office. The sole-source nature and proprietary justification underscore the unique relationship and technical requirements tied to this modification.
