National Technical Assistance Center on Kindship and Grandfamilies

The contract establishes the National Technical Assistance Center (NTAC) on Kinship and Grandfamilies with the goal of enhancing services offered to grandfamilies and kinship families through the National Aging Services Network. It aims to strengthen the network's ability to support the health and well-being of caregivers, children, and parents within these family structures. By expanding capacity and effectiveness, the center will contribute to better outcomes for these individuals and families. NTAC will support the implementation of the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers by scaling proven, replicable models that assist grandfamilies and kin caregivers in their roles. Its approach includes collaboration with subject matter experts, delivering technical assistance, providing resources and training across various systems, encouraging peer-to-peer learning, and preparing for emergency and disaster responses. The initiative is overseen by the Administration for Community Living under the Department of Health and Human Services.
