NIDA's SCIENCE MEETINGS LOGISTICAL SUPPORT

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) intends to solicit proposals from qualified Small Businesses under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) Program (NAICS 541611 / 7 Million Dollars) having the capability to provide all of the necessary logistical support for approximately 90 scientific meetings during a three-year base contract; approximately 30 scientific meetings during each of the two one-year option periods; and, an additional conference option which may be exercised twice per year. Approximately one-third of the scientific meetings will require graphic, editorial, and other services necessary for the development of a publication. Similar services will be required on a variety of other publications also will be required. It is anticipated that one cost-plus-fee, completion-type contract will be awarded for a period of three years with two one-year option periods and additional quantity options as stated before. RFP No. N01DA-11-1144 will be available electronically on or about January 14, 2011. The electronic RFP contains all information needed to submit a proposal. No printed version of the solicitation document or source list is available. NIDA will consider proposals submitted by any responsible 8(a) offeror. Response to the RFP will be due on or about March 14, 2011. This advertisement does not commit the Government to award a contract. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for current SBA certified 8(a) Small, Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Offers from concerns other than eligible 8(a) SDBs will not be considered. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
