NIST Preventative Maintenance Services for Komar Shredding Equipment

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of providing recurring preventive maintenance services for two pieces of industrial waste shredding equipment: a Komar Auger Compactor (serial number 3376) and a Komar Electro Shear Shredder (serial number 3535), both located at Building 301, 100 Bureau Drive, Gaithersburg, Maryland. The anticipated contract is a five-year agreement composed of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, with services expected to begin on October 1, 2026, and extend through September 30, 2031. Maintenance is required to be performed semi-annually during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding federal holidays and NIST closures.
