NLV Pharos Harbour Generator Overhaul

The Northern Lighthouse Board is seeking mechanical engineering services for a full overhaul of the Pharos Harbour Generator to eliminate frequent breakdowns and technical unavailability. The generator is primarily used during evenings and certain day operations when the vessel is in harbour and crane operations are not active. This project is estimated to be valued at 85,000 pounds excluding VAT, with a total estimated value of 102,000 pounds including VAT. The contract is open to small and medium-sized enterprises as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises. The overhaul must be executed during the drydock period in January and February 2027, with an overall estimated performance period running from October 26, 2026, to March 1, 2027, in Scotland. A mandatory site visit is required at NLB Oban on September 23, 2026. Tenders must be submitted electronically by October 5, 2026, at 2:00pm. The award will be determined based on a weighted evaluation of 60 percent quality and 40 percent price.
