AI Contract Overview
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) plans to extend the current contract with Fitzgerald Fine Arts for the period of June 1, 2026, through November 30, 2026, to ensure continued professional curation services for the Clinical Center Fine Arts Program in Bethesda, Maryland. This sole source, firm fixed price contract falls under the NAICS code for museums (712110) and uses Product Service Code R401 for professional personal care support, specifically in a non-medical capacity. The extension is being handled under simplified acquisition procedures, allowing the NIH to contract directly with Fitzgerald Fine Arts without a competitive process due to the nature of the requirement and the contract value falling below the simplified acquisition threshold. This notice is a formal intent to extend the contractual agreement but does not constitute a solicitation or request for quotations. The NIH maintains discretion over whether the contract will be extended without competition, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation guidelines. Interested parties may submit comments referencing the solicitation number NOI-OD-26-006324 to the designated contact, Huda Malik, by June 1, 2026. The performance location remains at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, with the acquisition supporting streamlined procurement policies designed for professional art curation services.
