North Bay Forest Improvement Program - Granucci_Ruth

The North Bay Forest Improvement Program - Granucci_Ruth is a forestry project managed by the Napa County Resource Conservation District located in Napa, California. The project covers 5.52 acres of conifer mixed hardwood forest that was previously impacted by the 2017 Nuns Fire. The current landscape is dominated by Douglas fir with a dense understory of resprouting shrubs and hardwoods, including oaks and California bay laurel. The scope of work involves cutting small trees and brush, pruning branches, and treating the resulting woody materials through chipping and mastication. All activities must adhere to the definition of forestry under PRC Section 753 and require review and approval by a Registered Professional Forester. The project is exempt under CEQA Section 15304 for Minor Alteration to Land, as it will not involve the removal of healthy, mature, or scenic trees nor result in a substantial alteration of the land's current function.
