North Carolina Natural & Cultural Resources – NC Zoological Park

The State of North Carolina Construction Office, on behalf of the North Carolina Zoological Park, is soliciting proposals for the replacement or repair of roofing systems at the African Holding Buildings and Warehouse. The project scope specifically targets the Forest Glade Gorilla Building, Zebra-Ostrich-Giraffe Barn, Chimp Holding Building, and the DTC Warehouse. This initiative is funded through the SCIF General 2024-2025 Repairs and Renovations Reserve with a total project budget of 880,070 dollars. Interested firms must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina. The selection committee will evaluate designers based on specialized expertise, past performance on similar projects, staff adequacy, current workload, experience with project costs and schedules, construction administration capabilities, and familiarity with the project location. Proposals must be submitted by October 26, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Submission requirements include three copies of a Letter of Interest, limited to ten single-sided or five double-sided pages, and three copies of the current Standard Form 254. All documents must be 8-1/2 by 11 inches and stapled in the upper left-hand corner; the use of binders, tabs, or clips is prohibited. Electronic submissions via email or fax will not be accepted.
