AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has announced its intent to include brand name requirements for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) utilizing ELK products in future construction contracts at Ft. McCoy and other Army Reserve facilities for fiscal years 2026 through 2028. The inclusion of ELK IDS components is necessary because these systems are currently the only approved alarm systems capable of transmitting signals over the Army Reserve Network (ARNET) while meeting all cybersecurity requirements set forth by the Army Reserve Command. The specified ELK equipment must be compatible with the existing monitoring station at Ft. McCoy and includes specific components such as the TROVE2 panel enclosure, M1 GOLD security panel, keypads, expanders, surge protectors, speakers, siren drivers, and batteries among others. This action is authorized under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), which permits restricting competition when only one responsible source is available that meets agency requirements. This notice is not a solicitation or request for quotes but is aimed at gauging market availability and capability to provide these systems. Interested parties are invited to respond by May 8, 2026, providing details including active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM), Unique Entity ID (UEI), credentials, business classification, and relevant pricing information. Responses should be submitted electronically to the designated point of contact, Charity Mansfield, and must include the solicitation number W912QR-26-ELKIDS in the email subject line. The government will consider all responses as it determines potential suppliers for upcoming contracts that will incorporate these brand name specifications into their project requirements.
