The National Center for Environmental Health, Division of Laboratory Services of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR Part 13, using simplified acquisition procedures, to the Genevac, Inc., 815 Route 208, Gardiner, NY 12525. The equipment to be purchased by this contractor include: (1) EZ Plus Evaporation System; (2) Centrifuge tube holders; (2) 18mm x 150mm tube holders (swing holder); and (2) heat transfer plates. Market research indicates that Genevac is the only U.S. distributor of products that meet the Government's performance requirements. Similar products were unable to provide compatible evaporators-lyophilizer combo product to prevent delays in continuity of program activities as requested. Also, other products did not possess the required lyophilization capacity, which is only offered by the Genevac products. No Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
