The USDA Forest Service intends to do a sole source award to Gainesville MotorSport located in Gainesville, GA for the procurement of a 2026 POLARIS R26T6E99AJ FIRE UTV. The Polaris 1000 is the only machine meeting the specific technical requirements for emergency fire response capable of supporting wildland fire and wildland hazardous fuels reduction operations and is able to fit on our current trailer. The equipment is consistent with existing district assets to ensure compatibility with current equipment, trailers, and assigned tow vehicles attachments, while meeting operational requirements, safety standards, and maintenance practices already in place.
