Full Description

Marine Corps Logistics Command on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense, intends to award a sole source procurement to Engineered Air Systems, Inc. The procurement will provide for the production of multi-purpose decontamination systems (MPDS) to match existing systems already deployed and in use. The proposed contract action is for commodities for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and compelling urgency, as these items are necessary to meet the continuing requirements of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The systems will be used to facilitate defense against and recovery from terrorism through the use of nuclear, biological, chemical, and radiological attack. NAICS 339999, size standard 500. The notice of intent is not a request for proposals. No solicitation document will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract base! d upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
