The Headquarters, US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) intends to award on a sole source basis with Xerox Corporation, 800 Carillon Parkway, St. Petersburg, FL 33716 under the authority of FAR 8.405-6 (2). INSCOM intends to acquire: Renew the current Xerox Lease/Maintenance contract for office copiers for FY08. The copiers are located within HQ INSCOM, Nolan Building, Metro Park, and Building 2101. Based on extensive market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, Xerox Corporation is the only sole source that can provide the required maintenance on the office copying machines. This Notice of Intent i s not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 10:00 AM, EST, August 20, 2007 by e-mail to contact@example.gov. A det ermination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whe ther to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 8.
