Full Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with the University of Maryland, Computer Aided Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) Electronic Products an d Systems Consortium (EPSC), 1103 Engineering Lab Bldg, College Park, MD 20742. The contractor shall provide Prognostics consortium membership and related text. The contemplated services will be performed at the contractors facility and at Aberdeen Provin g Ground, MD. This service includes all labor membership expenses for a period of 1 year from date of award. The CALCE EPSC provides a unique research base to support the development of military electronic and systems in a timely manner. The CALCE EPSC has unique expertise and ability not available in DoD and is the only orgnization that can satisfy the requireme nt in the timeframe required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 611310 and the size standard is $6.5 million dollars in average annual receipts over the last three years. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time, August 17th, 2006.
