The contractor shall provide non-severable non-personal services, including travel, to the U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC&S), Fort Sam Houston, Texas, to meet certain requirements for accreditation for the U.S. Army Graduate P rogram in Nursing Anesthesia and award graduate credit and the degree of Masters of Science for students in the program. There is no requirement for the insitution to currently have a program in Nursing Anesthesia. The USAGPAN currently maintains a stand-a lone, fully accredited program to include instructors and curriculum. The program is a two-phase program of instruction. Phase 1, which is 51 weeks, consists largely of didactic instruction and is taught at the AMEDDC&S. Phase 2. which is 73 weeks, consists of clinical instruction and is located at 9 Army, Air Force, and D epartment of Defense locations and Veterans Affairs medical treatment facilities with their respective clinical affiliate sites. The contractor shall perform all administrative functions that are germane to the Contractors admission, enrollment, progress ion, and graduation requirements. The contractor shall be a nationally recognized university accredited by one of the six regional accrediting associations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Post-Secondary Accrediation. The base period of performance will be date of award through 31 May 2007; first option period 01 June 2007 through 31 May 2008; second option period 01 June 2008 through 31 May 2009; third option period 01 June 2009 through 31 May 2010; and fourth option per iod 01 June 2010 through 31 December 2012. Solicitation will be issued on or about 15 March 2006. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered.
