UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT Notice of Intent to Procure Expansion Space Washington, DC The United States Government currently occupies 14,190 ANSI BOMA Office Area Square Feet (ABOASF)/16,673 BOMA Rentable Square Feet (BRSF) of office and related space in a building under lease in Washington, DC, that expires on April 10, 2013. The Government has a requirement for an additional approximately 15,000 BRSF of office and related space. The total rentable space must yield a minimum of 26,927 ABOASF. The delineated area is Independence Ave. to the North, 2nd St. to the East, 395 to the South, and 14th St. to the West. Other requirements applicable to this requirement include: - Proximity to Metrorail - Security (i.e. lobby, loading dock access, parking, etc.) The Government is considering whether to expand at the existing location or to relocate to alternative space that can meet the entire space requirement. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government's entire requirement for approximately 43 months, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, non-productive agency downtime, rent payments on vacant space under the existing lease or cost of buyout, etc. Please send expressions of interest to: Alexis M. The Government's decision regarding whether or not to solicit offers will be based, in part, on complete information received in response to this advertisement. In the event that a potential offeror fails to provide the required information, the Government reserves the right to assume that the building in question cannot meet the Government's requirements.
