Notice of Intent to Sole Source BlueBin Kanban Implementation Services for WRNMMC


The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), National Capital Region (NCR), Falls Church, VA, on behalf of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract to BlueBin Inc., 8028 Crest Drive NE, Seattle, Washington 98115. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source.


The contract is intended to provide continued Kanban Clinical Area Supply Chain Optimization Services and supply chain efficiency through completion of the BlueBin Kanban system implementation and the proprietary BlueQ Analytics solution at WRNMMC. The requirement includes implementation completion services, BlueBelt support, analytics/technical support, and associated hardware/materials necessary to complete installation and operational capability at WRNMMC.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS, and no solicitation exists for this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the Government’s discretion. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No Request for Quote (RFQ) will be available for competitive quotes.


This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses to this notice within five days of this posting.
