NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Preventative Maintenance Service Contract for Gatan Ancillary Instrumentation on JEOL 2100F Transmission Electron Microscope

The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements based on proprietary knowledge held by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Gatan, Inc., 5794 W. Las Posita Blvd., Pleasanton, CA 94588-4083, for Preventative Maintenance Services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
