The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, fixed-price procurement utilizing commercial item acquisition procedures with Rock River Arms, Colona, IL 61241 under RFQ 0223582. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Rock River Arms, will provide commercial, - off-the-shelf miscellaneous weapon parts compatible with Rock River LAR-15 .223 caliber carbines used by the FBI. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and the related-industry, it has been determined the FBI's requirement for the referenced weapon parts can only be provided by Rock River Arms. In addition, continued use of Rock River weapon parts ensures the agency maintains the integrity of the warranty provided by Rock River at the time of weapon purchase. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 4:00PM EST, August 11, 2008, or via facsimile to the attention of: Renee L. Braun, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-6103. Information received, will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
